Whew, got a 50th Class Reunion in BR on the 8th, so this may not work since Da Wifey will have to be at work that day. I can't go all the way down there to fish, then back home to get her, then back the next day for the reunion... That's just too much road time... Just my luck! Maybe another time... Y'all have fun!
Forecast is still showing about 26 ft on the 7th. I noticed that it's supposed to drop about 6 ft over the next week then less than 5 over the following 2 weeks. If I remember correctly, I've had better luck on a slow fall rather than a fast one. As long as it doesn't rise or flatten out while we are fishing, we should be able to catch something. It's really a roll of the dice when Old River is affected by the MS but it'll still beat a day of work even if we get skunked.

It gets worse than that. If you look at the graph of Red River Landing, it is apparent that is forecast to drop slower then at the Baton Rouge gauge. Since the channel to Old river is near the RR Landing gauge, Old River will be dropping slower also. Looks like it wont get good until the end of July.

As long as it isn't rising I'm willing to try it. I fished it last year around 28 ft and dropping almost a ft a day without much luck. Slower fall might be better.

This storm isn't going to help, right? I'm not wishing bad luck for y'all, but if you keep pushing the date back, I might actually get to make it down there!
