Just moved to Toledo Bend, live on LaNan, anybody with some help how to fish this lake, it would be greatly appreciated. I have caught some crappie, but not with the frequency that I would like. Any areas around you could point me to???
Thanks

Right now you need to find some grass flats with less than 10ft of water. That's not easy to find these days. But I found um stacked up in bull creek south of Indian mounds a few weeks back. But that is soon coming to an end. Now.... brush pile time isn't far off. If you have some decent electronics, finding the piles isn't very difficult. Ride slow in 25-30 fow. Get you a couple throw bouys. Once you start to see the piles show up on your graph. Throw a bouy out behind your boat. Put a shiner on a # 4 Aberdeen hook with a 1/2 oz weight 8" on top of said hook and drop it strait down 15-20 ft. Find the brush with your hook and wear there buts out. Lanan and union bay are full of piles in that water depth. Good luck.
Richard , i'am getting them in 2 to 4 feet of water in the coves on Lanan right now, They are just moving in. Jerry L. ( dove hunter)
