I had a sinking feeling about this front. I guess that's why I didn't go. At least it wasn't a wash. Sure was a purty day though.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I had that same feeling till about 11 or so when I went shallow...I also should have tried slow trolling shiners in the concentrations of fish which are still between 5-10 ft deep in 17-20 fow.The dink I caught was caught because of what you posted....if not for that I may not have even caught that one.....green carp still taste good though...especially when it's fresh.....and it was a beautiful day....catching those few fish was just a bonus....

The wife and I got back home from our trip to New Orleans last night. Was going to give it a try today but the wind seemed to be blowing a bit. Thought about going in the morning. Looks like more wind and rain coming in. I'll make the call in the morning, but I'm off all week and I'm definitely going to fish a couple days. I really need to get out and buy a freezer and vacuum bagger before I bring home any more groceries. I've filled up our fridge/freezer with bags of fillets already. May be a fish fry in the near future!
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.
