Very nice.Haven't fished Dubisson in a long time or ever tried trolling before but planning on trying it in the near future.Looks like you had a great time.Looks like pink is the color. Thanks for the report and pics and keep on "sucking them up".
FisherVet is the one that got me to thinking. From my limited experience cranking, I figured deep water, open water.... heck it was a no-brainer.

My son taught me at our one trip to to Darbonne.....I was trolling and casting at laydowns in the front of the boat and he was slowly cranking out the back and he outfished me 10 to 0 with bass and sacs...not long after the trip to darbonne I started at Dubisson and it hit me like a brick...open water.....I held two rods at first and had a blast....been hooked ever since.....I've been to dubisson lately but have been pushing jigs and cranks with only a little success...then I read the posts that u and TGE wrote about pushing being less productive than pulling in that 20 ft range......and I'm all tangled up when I push and pull at the same time....guessing when your pulling there is no short turns and that would fix everythingpush jigs out the front and pull out the back and wide turns....I'm goin Sunday if any one wants some cool weather fishing...Jchag, did ya happen to notice the water temp?

Sorry Tal, but I didn't put my trolling motor over. The depth finder on my trolling motor has the temp. sensor. I can tell you this, what you said in my last thread was true. Yesterday I followed the bait. When I would see birds diving on the bait, I just made my way over and trolled thru the area. There were three areas that I would pick up fish and they were all out in the deep water. Only place I didn't catch any was all the way in the back cove. I have yet to set up for pushing. I guess it has its place and time. But, for now, pulling has been working great. Yes it can be a PITHA with the wide turns, but I can't argue my results on Dubisson and Larto. I started trolling in June on Larto with off-the-shelf colors. And I had good success. But since I started ordering baits on-line; Bandit crappie colors (200-300's), Slab Hammers and the Arkie 350's (esp. the Pinks), my catches have gone up. I might see you out there Sunday.
