    Default Cranking Saturday


    Started off with a beautiful sun rise



    The action was fast and furious


    Water temp was 77 the fish were 8 feet deep in about 14 fow


    Kryptonite,and orange crush produced best

    PS Cajun Dave
    I told the fish if they belonged to you they better speak up.... so i could throw them back... not one crappie said a word Cranking Saturday The catfish grunted a little so I threw them back for youCranking Saturday

    My cousin and I tried them Wednesday, but had no luck....only found four in three hours.

    I fished the same water he was in and only caught 13. Threw four dinks back. Had one break my 6lb leader and keep a brand new crank. He's got the touch for sure.

    The only reason I got out with that many is I saw a school of shad popping out of the water. Every time I trolled through I picked up a fish. Small school of crappie attacked them after my fifth pass through and that was it. They were hitting all around the boat. Then nothing. The second pass through is when I had the leader break. Using around 28-30" 6lb below the swivel. Only thing I could get fish on was Hotty Totty Bandits. Don't have many cranks yet. I bought every crappie color I could find at Bass Pro. Going to be making a big order of Bandits and Arkies.

    I've been running 17 lb mono on my push poles they don't seem to mind it. Running 30lb braid out back
