Lotsa stuff goin on. Been reading yalls reports with a smile. Quick question, gotta replace two tips on my jig poles, problem being, they're stuck. Got the replacements figured out, but thought I'd asking I start shooting penetrating fluid on these bad boys.

Not sure what you mean by stuck? Could they be glued to the rod or perhaps fiberglass over winding?
In the past I held a lit candle under the tip until the glue melted and then pulled the tip off.
Just be careful not to corrupt the rod.

Run hot water on just the outer part which should cause it to swell and break the bond. Timing is everything, too hot and the inside one will swell also, not hot enough and nothing will happen. The good thing about it is you can repeat the hot and cold many times and do no harm. To gain maximum force, once hot put the rod behind you knees and grab it on each side of your legs, then using your legs to push outward on you hands holding the rod. You can try this first to see if it will come apart as it might.

Put pole behind your knees holding on each side of your knees and pull apart with your leg muscles. This keeps the pole straight and more pressure than you can place with just arms.
