Default My first trip in a while

Sunday I went fishing at the Bell City Ditch. I ended up putting a dozen in the live well. I threw back 8 small ones. I tight lined chartreuse feather jigs. I found the fish just off the bottom in 8 fow. The fish were spread out in the larger clumps of grass. Only found fish on one of my old brush piles. It was windy and hard to keep the boat in position. I used my Sportbrella it sure was nice to be in the shade with a good breeze blowing. I even had a Mary Poppins moment. I forgot to tighten the tension screw on my holder and it lifted off and I had to chase it town. I didn't get a box picture because I gave the fish to a family fishing off the bank. They sure were happy since they only had a few small bream.

Glad you posted this before I had a Mary Poppins moment. My holder doesn't have a tension screw...yet.

Let me know when you can go. I plan to carpet my son's boat next week so I should be ready for the burns in 2 weeks.

Don, you better hurry if you want to go to the Burns! It closes August 21st and the grass in the front is getting bad! And the gnats are horrible!!!
