    Default Old River

    Guys,
If you like fishing old River now is the time to go; River is falling slow. Most of these were caught on the north end of the river in the bushes. Tightlining with black/chartruse.
    Good fishing to all!

You're tempting me now. I want to go this weekend but it's my anniversary weekend. Sounds like a good present.

That's a really nice mess of fish by the way. Thanks for the report and nice pictures. I think I know that spot you are in. I usually stay toward alligator point but didn't have any luck that direction last time.

Plus another WOW! Which "Old River" were you fishing? There seems to be so many of them.

Pastor...its in north pointe coupee parish, near the communities of Morganza, batchlor and Innis. Really beautiful ox bow lake that rises and falls with the Mississippi River!

Good question actually. Pretty sure it's actually the west end of the river but most who fish it regularly refer to it as the north end. My dad says the MS River comes in thru the "north end" first (when flooding) and when the fish start biting, it's usually on that end first.
