hey guys, im from ms and have my yearly vacation scheduled for the last week of march. i've got plenty of options on places to go but i have always wanted to fish larto. i know pretty much all the ms river valley area has gotten tons of rain and i know its a river system fishery. should i avoid larto this spring and wait and come in the fall or will i be ok.
thanks so much. thats what i was afraid of. when you mentioned river level is that the ms or what. also what gauge do i look at.
At what level does the Black River start to flood Larto/Saline?
Murdok, I can say at 48.2' on the Larto gage we had 9" of water inside our outdoor kitchen in Feb of this year. At 42' it is getting into the yard. Here is a link to the gage at Larto. Rivergages.com - Station Information ForLarto Lake @ Larto Lake
Leave two for seed. Bruce
Prediction right now is the black will get to 50', which will put Larto at about 51'.
Hope that doesn't happen cause it will be inside my camp if they are right!
Thanks for the info. Doesnt look like we will get to wade the spawn![]()
