    Default Tech Tip #365

When changing your foot motor pull rope. Put a piece of heat shrink on the rope were it goes threw the bracket.

    Last mo longer. IME.

Found the drill at the launch Mardi Gras day. For sale cheap.

That trolling motor bracket looks familiar JR, how long has it been?

Good one JR. It's also best to repair on the bank than on the water. So check your cords everyone.

I was having problems with that too. I changed mine out with an old pull rope kit from my old boat I had. It has lasted 2 years with out any fraying. I have also seen people use stainless cable for half of there rope that's what I will do next..

This is how I put a able on mine 3 years ago and works like a champ. I used ferrules to clamp the ends together. Just a little tricky getting inside the housing.

I couldn't find the stainless so I used plastic coated galv/cable. Seems to be OK.
