Anyone see the water at the landing recently? Is it high on the ramp?

The gauge i use is lower grand river at bayou sorrel, and it shows a big drop at the end of last week, from around 7 ft to 5 ft...I'm with JR on this one, i bet the water is low....

I'm going to the camp tomorrow. I'm probably going to go in through Plaquemine and will pass there but I use the same gauge in Sorrell and it says the river is normal to a little low. The 7-8' that it was the 2-3 weeks prior is high.

So I went to the camp Friday since the Sorrell gauge showed that the river had dropped 4' during the week. I got out there and its as high as its been for the past month. Hasn't dropped an inch. Check out the link. National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service Looks like they had to reset the gauge sometime Friday. What a waste of time. I turned around and went back home, didn't even put the boat in the water.

Saturday trip sucked, tried canals, the lake, It was muddy water most places, very high water conditons. Make yiu wonder if they are buried in the woods. For sure not good fishing conditons, spoke to a couple of boats with shiners and jigs. Scratch. Not sure what the deal is with that place. Used to be a good place to fish this time of year. There are some rude jack legs that do like to boat ride, make a cast then run a 20ft bass boat wide open, in a 10 ft wide dead end canal and mess up the water and every hope of catching a fish. Did your daddy ever teach you simple manners and respect other fisherman. Tees me off.
