Thread: Amite River

Had some off time Tuesday and I fished about 4 hours. Barometer 40.46 with blue bird sky's. Windy and warm day, muddy water, 6" visibility with outgoing current. Used the (had to run the boat) excuse. Fished eddies in about 5' of water using orange crush hair jigs and the action was very slow and challenging. I did manage 5 with one nice white that I had to net. She hit hard and dove deep, I thought it was a bass. 16" n dead on 2 lbs. Had fun and the boat ran great!
