Presentation and confidence is key for tight lining but of course you have to know that the fish are there first. A slow drop and stop every foot holding the jig as still as you can for 5 to 10 seconds then a slight twitch and hold still for a couple of seconds. Drop another foot and repeat. Once ya catch a few you will start to feel the jigs weight and know what presentation they want, faster or slower. I use 1/48 to 1/16 oz jigs and 6 lb test line on a graphite rod because the bite is so slight sometimes you can miss it, especially in the wind. Fish dock pilings as close as you can get to them on all sides. Sometimes you have to go to 10 or 12 foot deep to find them. Sac au lait in the Amite can be very elusive but as you can see they are there. That's the second two pounder I've caught there in the last 6 months.
