What about pogie oil. My best kept secret. Comes from pogie plants

I have had some success with the Yum F2 in shad and the YUM infused baits, and also with the Bang in shad. I haven't used the others. I have not used the gulp as an attractant but have used some of the Gulp baits and they also have worked.
On some occasions I have found the scent can actually be a deterrent, have to experiment each time to determine what they want that day.Start with nothing and if your not gettin bit fast enough then start adding scent and see if it picks up. Two guys in boat one use it and one not.
I have found that the more fish you catch and handle, the more you get that worked into your rod handle etc.,the more fish you catch on a lure, the less you need the other attractants.
The nibbles are different, they provide a visual target also and I hardly every dunk it without one,but once again the best thing you can do is experiment, the more people in the boat the easier it is to help determine what's best. And it can change over the course of the day.
No scent will compensate for having on the wrong jig....they only increase the catch rate with the right jig.
