Right, it helps to keep a horse shoe in your boat.

Many years ago our fishing trip was spoiled by a bolt getting into a cylinder. We had launched the boat the night before, ran it and all was well. We got up in the morning pull on the rope and the motor made a half turn and stop solid. We got to tinkering with it in the dark and found that we could turn the flywheel backwards almost a full turn but then solid stop. If we then pull the rope again it would turn almost a full turn but then stop solid. Our conclusion was that something had come loose somewhere and we weren't gonna fix it in the dark. My friend took it to his buddy later that day and when he got to checking he found a bolt in the top cylinder. Now how do you suppose that bold got in there. The theory was that someone removed the spark plug and put it in there. The dirty b%$#@^. A good thing it was big enough not to allow the engine to turn over and start.
