    Default Fast Idle

    actually about half throttle.

T'was running down Little Pigeon 2 weeks ago. Went to Stop after about a 10 minute run. Motor wouldn't idle down. Took the cover off and looked at the linkage and couldn't see anything wrong. Move just one more time and stayed put. Fish were there so no need to run around. Little tricky loading the boat.
Got home and put the charger on my battery. Don't forget that or you'll be sorry. Don't ask how I know.

Pulled the cover off and the carbs and look what I found. Lucky it didn't make it into the motor.

How in the world did that bolt get into your carburetor? And, yes you are lucky it didn't get past the carb.

I'd say that could have been a $2000 bolt, lucky you found it and it didn't go any further.

Yes there is a piece bolted to the pull cord assembly.

Yamaha call's it a carb cover not a silencer.

I didn't take the time to look at the cover, but there isn't much room for that bolt to make it's way to the carb. I have seen were a screw off the carb will make it's way threw the carb covers.
