    Default Boat repairs

After 20 years of 125-150 days a year on the water in punishing and harsh conditions it was time to have the interior of the boat redone. Had worn through the gel coat in places and had a few cracks in others Tough to give up the boat for two weeks but I figured I could do during hunting season where I wouldn't miss too much plus got two friends to get me out on the water Looks great now. Made the maiden voyage today and must say it may be better than when it was knew( if I could only remember that far back). Thinking I can get another 20 years out of it now Name: image.jpg

What kind of boat is that? It is a different design. I like it. And the renovation looks great!

    thanks for the nice comments

as to what it is lol it is a one of the kind(actually there is two of them) as my doctor has the other one . My dad had the boat built for me and him for shallow water redfishing(although it ended up being perfect for everything and the bass boat rarely got used after it arrived. It is hand laid kevlar and was built by a company in chalmette that was wiped out by Katrina. they didnt build boats like this but my dad told them what we wanted and they did a great job
As i said it was made for shallow water fishing long before you had all the shallow water boats on the market that you have today. it draws at most 4 inches of water and actually i have no trouble going through 2 inches as it is kevlar is extremely light. . Was also made with fly fishing in mind as i and especially my dad did tons of fly fishing (most of what he did in his latter years) therefore it has the low profile and pretty much nothing to get hung on ie seats, cleats , or anything else. i have looked at many boats over the years and have never fiound anything compatable at least not at any kind of reasonable price. i actually couldnt imagine fishing out of anything else . i may get a gatortail or pro drive but it would just be a side boat for sure
