I find quite a few fish with egg's this time of year. Seems to me they start forming new egg's soon after the spawn getting ready for spring. I have seen them in Florida spawn twice a year in the southern part of the state.

I wonder if the spawn on CLECO might be different since its water stays warmer than other lakes year around. Would it be possible for crappie to spawn twice in that type of environment?

im not sure but im going to be on top of the lake this year and will keep you all posted

all my fish so far have come from 10 fow fishing about 8 to 10 feet deep and the temp is from 10 at its hottest to about 97 coolest on the surface

i went trolling around Sunday and located a spot with about 14 fow and it looked like it would be clean enough to spider rig fish so im going to try it out this weekend if i can pull myself from the spot I have been fishing <<not sure I can leave fish to hunt fish but i realy want to check this new spot out
