    Default Cypremort Point Salinity

Does anyone know why USGS shows the Cypremort Point Salinity at 10 but NOAA shows it at 2?

May have something to do with the units expressed. NOAA's units indicate a negative value on the scale, which wouldn't exist in a measurement of parts per thousand.

I thought the same, however, all of the literature that I've read states that they are the same.

I think it is because PSU is a measure of conductivity which is related to ppt of salinity but not proportionally...HTH...In other words PSU is useless and antiquated...ppt is much better IMO.
