Does anyone have inside info as to the workings of the Corp of Engineers concerning water levels in the basin. The water stayed high for so long, in part I guess, because of water coming from the Red River. Why in the heck did they close so many gates at one time and drain the swamp so fast. It's ridiculous. Yeh, I know the Atchafalaya supposed to get around 30% of the flow. It seems they could have metered it in a slower fashion. Anybody?
