I run my 24 volt 70 lb. Terrova with I Pilot pulling cranks anywhere from 1.6 to 2.2 mph. The hotter the water temp the faster I pull them. I started out pulling with a 115 Yamaha four stroke....it would not go slow enough at idle so I put a Troll a Matic trolling plate on it.....and that worked good...I would tie the steering wheel straight with a bungie cord and steer with a 40 lb. trolling motor. Then I traded boats and went to the bigger Terrova trolling motor.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

You can get a speedo app for your phone
Yesterday I had to run at 2.2 mph to get a bite... any slower nothing

When Pulling cranks I very rarely go slower than 1.5 mph

Were you pushing as well as pulling? If so, was pushing just as effective?

I mostly use 10 lb. mono Cabelas Pro Line in high vis yellow so I can see my lines good when I turn. I try to run four feet of separation between them.
