After hearing of a good catch at Henderson over the weekend, I decided to take another shot at it. Water is still very high, but at least it's moving and dropping. All but two of the fish I caught came from south of I 10, 2 1/2 foot deep in about 7 f.o.w. Using solid gray hair jigs, all I caught was bream at first. Switching to black/chart. hair jigs made the difference. I caught 14 sac a lait and kept 11, much better than I had done one week earlier. It's still too hot, water too high and too clear…but not so bad that I won't go check it out again in few days. FYI, sign at the ramp says another draw down is about to start and will end Nov. 1. With continued rains up north, that may just be wishful thinking. BC![]()

In this heat that's really good. It was 102 on my thermometer here yesterday and that was in the shade.
