Its weightless. The 3 ft trunk section is pushed into the mud. It anchors it self. On Lacassine Bayou I have some 10 years old. As long as you put them out of the current in an eddy area. One draw back is you are limited to 10 fow or less. It works great in old oil field canals in the marsh. Just hook the V on the push pole into the Y of the branch and push it straight down. We use a 12 ft. joint of heavy conduit with an aluminum bar bent in a V shape bolted to it. Once you get the hang of it you will never mess with rope and weights again.
