    Default BCDD 5/6/15

I went back today and put 28 in the live-well and threw back a lot more small ones. I fished the same pattern as yesterday. I first threw blk/chart Road Runners with a turbo tail at the brush piles to catch a few then switched to shiners 2ft deep. Brush piles in 9 fow produced the best. The wind wasn't as brutal today and I was able to fish some of the better piles. Shallow Runner came out and met me in his boat. He put a dozen in his chest. I had a 2 hour head start on him and he missed the best bite time. I will post a picture of the fish tomorrow before I clean them. Here is a picture of my boat with the new CDC stickers on it.

Thanks Choupic. I love my little boat. It is perfect for fishing solo, cheap to run and paid for. I had saved enough for a down payment on an 18ft with a 115hp. The day before I was going to sign the papers this one showed up on South East Texas .com for the same price as what I saved with only 86 hours on it. After looking at it I thought man I can't burn enough gas fishing every week in a month for what I would pay on a note.

Here is the picture of today's catch. No slabs all 8 to 10 inches. It feels good to get some in the freezer. On Good Friday I fried fish for 60 people and depleted my horde. Name: 20150507_232801_resized.jpg

Looking at the boat picture and the dip net. Is that a long handle one? I'm thinking the one I use in the kayak requires too much bending down over the side in the outboard.

Yes its telescoping. It works great even with a 12 ft rod. It is a wally world special and was reasonably priced. I would recommend a rubber coated one because hooks like this one.

Thanks for the invite buddy. I really enjoyed my day on the water, even if you did whoop me on the catching lol. I'm looking forward to doing it again this coming week.
