Hey Tinker and welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't help way over here to the west unless you would like to drive to Lake Martin. It's real popular with all kind of paddlers.

New to the forum. I live in the Watson area, north of Denham Springs. I have recently come into possession of a 10 ft 2 person pond boat. I would like some suggestions as to places I can fish for crappie where I wouldn't get swamped by boat traffic. I realize the boat is made for ponds, but I don't know anyone that has a pond. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Welcome aboard Tinker. I lived in Watson for a lot of years, about 25 I think. Moved to Port Allen about 7.5 years ago. In fact all 3 of my girls graduated from Live Oak and my SIL teaches and counsels at the middle school. Can't help you much with the fishing, but I used to fish the city park lakes and lsu lakes. Be sure your boat has numbers on it and you have a life jacket. Yes both are required, even in a paddle boat.
