I plan on taking my wife and Dad fishing for catfish and bream. Any idea about where to fish for them?
Thanks

I've never bream fished it and only tried the catfish once. From what I've gathered on here over the yrs there's a short period after the crappie spawn where catfish bite shiners along the rock banks, esp if the wind is blowing into it have also heard cat fishing is good around the jungle, trees and banks in there. Don't know nuttin bout finding bream....
For bream, I'd go to the east side of the lake on the south end where the old Bayou Macon channels are and fish in 2-4 FOW out from the rocks. The catfish are also in the same place right now as they start to spawn. As 20watt says, the "jungle" (northeast end of the lake where the dead trees are located) is also good, as is just drifting out in the open lake.
Clay, never fished there, but hope you catch a few and hope your Dad and wife catch a bunch. Remember to post pictures for us!

nice work boys, nice work........
We caught some nice bream on hair jigs on the South end along the rocks they might bight better on worms or crickets. We caught six catfish also but they bite better on worms or cut shad along the banks from 2 to 4 ft. We saw a couple ladies catching them on worms and shiners within 6 ft of the bank.
