Thread: Caney Spawn

Managed to catch 35 over the weekend still shallow. Water at about 70 degrees. Think they are about done spawning. Not too much eggs in any of them. Maybe males hanging around. Caught a few around some deeper piers. Size was pretty good. Most caught on jigs.

The neighbor was fishing off of his pier and we got to talking after I asked him if he cared if I fished around his pier. He told me that one of his neighbors lived in Rayville and came up quite often, but his other neighbor lived in Baton Rouge and only showed up 3 or 4 times a year. If that was your place, the boat house looked to be fairly new.

Was probably ours. Built boathouse in Oct of 14. Has a Cajun Pontoon hanging there. Boathouse has tan colored roof. Caught a lot of fish at the end of that cove. Fish Caney every weekend. Its a beautiful lake.
