Got to the Point last Wednesday, March 11th. Only 3 fish by 1pm. Water temp 48..my buddy, Doc, who is already in the 3lb club caught a 3lber -2nd fish of the day. To make matters worse, he also caught a 9lb 6 oz bass. I'm thinking, where is mine. But the next day water temps were up to 50- lol. I finally caught my Walter - a 3lb crappie and..... i also landed a 9lb 13oz bass. Man the trip was done! I can go home now..nottttt.. But Doc had to. So, i stayed and fished on and on. Finally the water temps reached 64. This must get them going .notttt. The bite is still slow..but when ya got a bite, the fish were really big! After the good Doc left for home, I landed a 3.04. -my second Walter. Then on my final slow day (March 17) I landed a 3.26 white crappie.(4th in the state). Long story short, ended up the best week of crappie fishing Doc & I have ever had. Landed 4 fish 3 lbs or better, 2 fish 2lbs 15oz and a 2lb 14 oz., 30 fish over 2lbs., and the bite was as slow as I've ever seen. One day, we didn't get a bite until 2pm. Patience, patience, patience......plus a little prayer, and a positive attitude sure helps. A 3lb crappie WAS on my bucket list, but i might need a bigger bucket..lol

Ephesians 1:13
Great job. Caught some myself knocking on 3lbs just couldn't get the 3pounder
Good times right there we left 3-16-15 and had caught 25 fish 2#'s or better with one 3# and one 2#14oz being the biggest but a lot of 2#7oz to 2#9oz fish some being males. Sloooowww is the word I saw some of the best perch jerkers I know struggle to get bites so I felt pretty good with our results all in all. Bob I still say your the best spider rig fisherman I've ever seen and there were plenty on the water this weekend. I talked with many locals while fishing their back yards and they agree with me your the man.
A Bad Day of Fishing is Better Than a Good Day of Work!
Congratulations Bob! The smile on your face says it all. Glad you finally caught that elusive three pounder.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
