to the forum emsguy! I was wondering how the fishing was going on Cypress when I saw all the vehicles at the launch on 162 this afternoon. I'd say you did pretty well!
Congratulations!

It was a slow day on the water, but we did catch a few fish. The three biggest fish were 1.157, 1.106, and 1.026. All fish were caught on jigs. We fished in 6-10 fow. We would catch about 2-4 fish per spot we tried. The three biggest fish did not have much eggs in the tummy. It was a nice way to spend one of my 6 days off. By the way, I have been a member here for a while, but my first post.

Thank you. It is nowhere near what it was going back 10+ years when you could load a 120qt ice chest full, when they were popular. You would have to throw the ice out just to handle 90-95 perch. I fished on the south end of the lake. I never made it past Wagner's Pocket. There were several vehicles at the Park's Road launch as well.
very nice first post.......welcome.....

Welcome to the forum. I used to fish Cypress quite a bit. I was thinking of going over to Poverty Point tomorrow, but now you got me thinking about Cypress. Congratulations on very good catch.

Welcome for shreveport! Don't be shy about posting! Lol
I made a run out there last Thursday, but got busy and forgot to post. Only picked up 4 crappie and 4 bass. Enough to bake some and fry some so the family was happy. Caught them all on a curly tail bulk/chart jig. Just nice to get out there.

Thanks for the report, I was wondering if they were cranking up at Cypress. Welcome to the forum!

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!
That's the way to make a first post, with pictures of your catch! Thanks for the pictures and welcome to the contributors.
