    Default Pier 90 report

Went with a buddy on our kayaks 3/3/15. Made the pedal all the way to the end of the canal stopping on the way. Fished with minnows with only a few bass. Managed only 2 sacs and a nice catfish. Fished 5' in 6-8 fow. Fish finder said water temp was 60-65 but didnt get any to hit fishing shallow water. I dont know what is going on.

Temp in the 60s? Up here in North Louisiana it's still in the low 40s with snow and freezing rain predicted for tonight and tomorrow. Highs tomorrow only in the mid-30s.

Yea thats what my fish finder said. Ill have to find me a pool thermometer to verify though. I think it might of been off since all we got was bass on the shallow beds..

Yesterday I ran into water temps of 71 degrees. Actually with the sun out it was downright hot. Too bad it had to end so abruptly or we would have had a tremendous week of fishing. Now all I can do it look out the window and daydream.

I know what you mean Mr. Gene. It is daydreaming weather up here also. But, one day spring is going to stick her head out and it will be on. I can hardly wait.

I will give it another go this saturday. With the cold front I think all the sacs would be staging again off the banks?
