One of these farmers' names was a Miller, hence Miller's Lake. Since then, it became a fabulous fishery and bird sanctuary, especially ducks! My father was a member of the duck hunting club for a few years back in the 50's. He and his partner killed so many ducks that it became too much of a burden for my mother to clean all of these ducks each day and she finally told him, "you kill'em, you clean'em." i think that was his last year in the club. I make 3 or 4 trips a year, but I never do REAL well. But I know many people who do.

Thats pretty cool. Ive been once and didnt catch any sac but hooked on to a few good bass with the jig pole. Very pretty lake too.

I live 5 miles from Millers and fish it a few times during early spring. Bass fished yesterday from daylight to noon. Not much biting. Water was 54 deg. with a stout south wind. Talked to several other boats out there, they had nothing either.
