Which would y'all chose for tomorrow? Trying to decide where to go tomorrow afternoon. Sounds like D'arboone is still pretty dead. These are the only two places up this way I hear of folks catching them right now. Thanks

We had a tournament on Claiborne Saturday and me and my son caught 12. The numbers were all right at our amount or less. Talked to a man Monday that had fished Caney within a couple of days and he had caught 2. The bar fish on Claiborne wouldn't hardly let you fish. What we caught was caught on a Bobby Garland 2.5 in swim-r shad in glacier color which is off white color. Fished 28 ft deep in 34 fow.

Well, I went to Caney on Tuesday. Fished from 8-2. Caught 9 fish and kept 6 of them. Kind of slow for me. While fishing I overheard another fisherman telling someone else that he had been fishing Claiborne without any luck. I did see 2 guys spider-rigging on Caney on Tuesday that caught several fish. I wasn't close enough to see what they were using for bait.

Some friends of a guy I work with caught fifty on Caney this past Monday. Right off the bottom on shiners. Soon as this rain gets outta here I'm going somewhere!
Know another guy that caught 12 on Claiborne the other day which is slow for him. He usually wears them out. Maybe things will start getting right before long. Ready for Darbonne to kick off.
It's like RMGeorge said, it was the BSCA. It now cost a $25 membership fee and it's $60 per tournament. The next one is on Caney on February 28th. Pays 3 places and there's a big fish pot which I'm pretty sure is taken straight out of the entry fees for each tournament. The rules changed a little at the last meeting and TreeFrog is soon to update the info on the page. We had 14 at the Claiborne tourney with first place paying $280 and big fish paid $140. We take 20% off the top for the classic at the end of the year to go to the champ. It's fun and I think it's great for the sport and the people.
