    Default Turkey Creek

Anyone know recent info about Turkey Creek Lake? Haven't heard any reports in a long time. Could it still be suffering from the draw down/fish kill from 3-4 years ago? I used to fish the lake regularly but have not in too long and I miss its beauty and good results.

You won't hear much about it on this site. I was told awhile back that it needed the river to flood into to get back to where it was.

I've not gotten any reports of anyone doing any good there. Last spring only sporadic reports of any catches. I hope the lake starts to turn around quick. Last year the bream did good and the bass, yuk!! Did good .
The fish were bitting yesterday, The fish will bite tomorrow,,, today I must buy my fish

It's a shame about Turkey Creek. Didn't get serious about WP fishing till after the draw down, so never tried them out there. Back when I bass fished that place was on fire. Almost always took close to a 20lb sack to win. I know of an 11 pounder that came out of there in one tournament.

We used to kill lots of ducks out there too, but for some reason the past 10 years haven't been good at all

Been 6 or 7 yrs since I done any serious catching there. It used to have several of those magnum lizards in it though...

Never seen any of them out there, but no doubt there are probably some big ones around. Of course I fished Darbonne probably 10 years before I ever saw one out there. The first one I did see out there was better than 10'
