    Default Larto

Well according to river gages Larto is up almost 2 feet. Hope I can get the boat in the water and wet some hooks finally.

Water is up to where it should be! A friend of mine went the day after Christmas to scout around to see if we could launch at Uncle Buds, had to launch at the Public landing. The water was still a good 30 ft from the end of my pier at the camp. We went News Years day and the water came up about 1 foot. Sunday Morning after all the rain it is almost at pool stage. You can launch any where without any trouble!

Thanks for the update hopefully it will be a good season there this year after the draw down for repairs fishing pressure should have been minimal and maybe we can reap the rewards of a very good spawn!!! ~~ <*{{{{<<

That sounds good to me. I kind of hope the water comes up high enough to get in the woods for a really good spawn.

Last years spawn was kind of off,, they never really hit the bank. They stayed around 5 to 6 ft. Seemed like the catfish and Bass all spawned at once putting to much pressure on them to move in. We have a good bit of grass the came up with the low water. And my opinion it seems that when they rebuilt the weir, they ended up building it a little higher than what it was previous. So hopefully the lake will hold a little more water!!

One sports writer stated that the spawn was so messed up and late that if all the different species of fish spawned at once they might be stacked up like cord wood. ~~<*{{{{<<

Well we'll see how well the new weir holds .Report i got, water is running over it now.water level is a little over38' PMantle last year was a bad year for me to.Dont think this year will be any better,we need a couple of good spawns, with water in the woods.
