Default First catch of the day

Last Saturday morning got to my first fishing spot... lowered the jig down to the bottom got set, and something was on it reeled it up and caught me a Shimano Speedmaster with a lightning rod. That's the third rod I have tight lined up in 3 years ,2 on Caddo 1 on Cypress Lake. Alright guys let me know the weird or interesting things that y'all have caught

you gotta be kiddin!! That's awesome. Nothin as nice as a new rod & reel but I managed to bring up a 5lb rock once. I know that's nothing special but what are the odds of that hook snagging that tiny little notch or hole so perfectly in a smooth round rock good enough to reel it al the way in. as soon as it hit the floor of the boat the hook dropped right off it. Also - this was in Washington state...fishing for walleye in about 50ft of water. a long ride to the surface.

I was with a buddy trolling a big lake for walleye, and he hooked what we thought was a big heavy fish. Turns out it was a pillowcase, that by the looks of it had been on the bottom of the lake for a while. At first we were curious how it got there, then we decided we shouldn't ask any questions.
    Here fishy, fishy, fishy...

You know for sure that you were fishing behind someone. I have been very lucky with my rods overboard. I have retrieved my own rod from a log jam in Red River the day after it went overboard. Also managed to find one that the wife let go in Cypress Lake. As soon as it hit the water I hit the waypoint marker on my little portable gps and went back a couple of days later with some snagging equipment and found it on the first cast. We also let one go overboard up at the bridge in Mooringsport and about one hour later some guy pulled it up and hollered out that he had found the rod. The wife had told everyone who was within earshot about her rod going over the side. I believe that the only reason I was able to get the rods back was that a lot of line was out and it was pretty easy to snag them. None of the rods were high dollar equipment just Zebco spincast equipment but it really feels good to get your equipment back after they go swimming.
:D Bought too cheap and kept too long!!!!:D

I did not catch this odd catch my 7 yr old son did. Story starts 1 yr earlier I was fishing a farm pond and nature called. I had no TP with me so I cut my under wear off to use. 1yr later same pond my boy hollers over at me from the other corner of the lake an low and behold he caought them off the bottom of the lake. Nedless to say I found it funnier than he did.

My brother caught an owl on Toledo Bend with a top water bait once and a friend caught a banded gull on Big Lake. I've never caught anything strange but did see a choupique catch a bullet in his teeth. I was running yo-yos on Dugdemona River long ago and had a choupique on one. I took out my .38 S&W and shot him in the back of the head when he was a few inches under water. As I pulled him up, it looked like he was grinning with something in his mouth. He caught the jacketed hollow point perfectly after it passed through his head. Anybody remember Davy Crockett (Fess Parker) doing that in a tavern?
