Thread: Rice Field Strike Out

Got too the gravel launch at the 22 bridge in Madisonville about 10am.

Gotta let those sky buster have there fun and get out of the way.

Ran to the bridges and things don't look good. I got the place to myself. If the bite is on I've always have had company.

Well gotta give it a try I'm here. Started swimming the 3tail and 3rd cast I get a good bump.Threw back and a 12" green trout nailed the tail. Worked the area and caught 6. All release to grow up and caught another day. Got the jig pole out and worked the bridge pilings and punched some grass and a few more trout. No sacs to be found.

There is still a lot of lilies blocking some canal's. Need some more freezes and some rain to flush it all out.

Still got a half day of day light left. So back too da river. Bite was slow, never caught more than two in one spot.
