Bartholomew Bayou

Decided to give it a try after work this afternoon. Didn't do any good, caught one and lost a couple. Wouldn't usually bother making this post but the board has been SLOW lately so I figured I'd share some scenery from the longest bayou in the world.

Had trouble launching and loading. Had to push, pull, stomp and channel my inner hulk to get off and on the trailer. It's a shame that this is only ramp on the Louisiana side

Yep but it's all we have. Started not to try it, couldn't even get my running boards in the water.

Is that the little ramp at the Highway 2 turnoff at 165 at sterlington? The reason I asked is when I went to the sattalite view of the Bayou at the extreme North end of it, it looks like a double Concrete ramp, several miles of no camps.

I'm not sure if you're looking at the lake or the bayou but I do know that's not where I'm at. I put in off the Claude Mann rd. that's about half way between Bastrop and Bonita. Should be able to find it on google maps
