Made a Sunday evening trip to the jack millers side of grand river. ..it was slow but fun! Fished from 2 tell about 6..., should have quite at 5! Water looks good so I'm thinking (hoping) it will get better.

This has been a really bad year for Old River. ..have a lot of friends that have camps and fish it pretty regularly, but it just really never got right this year. Sometimes the pier fishing can be good in the fall and winter. ..so we'll see! I know u like to fish it...have u heard anything different?

Nope haven't heard anything. I did make a couple of afternoon trips when the water was falling and didn't do much. With the new bridge I can make it back to Denham Springs in about a hour with no traffic jams..

Traffic has really been a pain getting back across the MS bridge when fishing the west side Pigeon, Henderson, etc.I have to go the old bridge. Try going the sunshine bridge one evening and it's down to one lane for painting then you hit motiva traffic. Can't win.
