    Default Yucatan

The water is down now at the Yucatan so I got up at 3:30 a.m. to get there at the crack of dawn. Went straight to the river to fish around the jetties and dodged 2 big gators on the way. Found out my trolling motor housing had somehow cracked all around and the top was about to fall off. All I managed to do was a little catfishing and trolling for white bass but had no luck. Got two reports that some really big white perch were caught yesterday, just not a lot of them. One guy had caught a mixed bag that included 4 perch and another boat caught about a dozen. The dozen were caught at the upper end of the lake in the willows.

I went to the rock pile last Wednesday an fished 3 hours, never caught a crappie. Didn't see anyone else catch either.
