These fish were caught Sat. morning out of Myette Point. Bite was over by 10:30 but some nice fish were taken. We fished 1/32 homemade hair jigs under a cork, about 2 foot deep, with gray ghost pattern and a solid brown pattern with a little chartruese in the tail picking up most fish. We kept 21 sac au lait, a few bream and bar fish. My buddy also picked up a few with a solid green jig, too. We had a few in the one pound range. While the fishing was good, other incidents ( a lost boat seat after going over the NEWLY RESURFACED railroad crossing in Baldwin, two broken fly rods, one monster Asian carp landing in the boat making it look like a war zone, a second carp bouncing through the back of the boat, a rain storm on the way back to the landing and oh yeah, my favorite, lightning striking all around us as we loaded the boat in a HURRY). Usually, this much crap would happen over the course of several summers, not in one day….Still, counting our blessings, we hope to get out there again soon. The parking lot at Myette Point was packed Sat., and where we were we only saw 3 other boats. Other spots must be biting too. Name: IMG_5751.jpg
