    Default Toledo bend report

Just got back from 2 weeks at the bend. The crappie have been turning on in the middle of the day on brush piles. It is hot but under a umbrella it is not too bad if there is a breeze. The good thing about the middle of the day is that you pretty much have your pick of brush piles because no one is out there. There is a party barge on almost every brush pile early and late on the weekends, I could not catch many early or late but I would go back around 11 they would be biting good. A quick safety tip, watch where your foot is when taking a boat trailer off the hitch even if you hear a click, I had a bad experience this week, but it could not keep me off the water.

Yeah , I had a few and it helped. Lol. I was lucky that I was not by myself and had people around to lift the trailer off my foot. It messed my foot up pretty bad, im still wearing a boot.

I guess when you heard the pin click on the jack mount, you thought it was engaged. I probably would have done the same thing. Next time I'll check to be sure. Thanks for the heads up. Those 12 oz. medicines are good for what ails you
