Those that do not read Tigerdroppings may not know about this. Dude almost lost his hand. From that thread:

Got quick surgery and was able to save his hand. Dr. Weber, probably the best hand surgeons in the area, was able to save has hand and he has intact neuro and motor function.

Saw a picture of it too. It was not pretty. Ya'll probably saved his life with the tourniquet. The prop missed his radial artery by about 2 cm. If it cut that, he would have bled out in a matter of minutes.

glad to hear that youre okay. I have an older model tiller handle that does not have a kill switch setup for a lanyard, therefore I am exempt from the law requiring kill lanyards.. but I have always felt very uneasy about not having one. Does anyone know of a way to rig one up on a pull start tiller? I also make everyone who rides in my boat wear the big nasty orange life vests, because the others usually dont turn you right side up if you become unconscious. They hate it, but they will thank me when we inevitably hang up on something in the water.

You probably have a kill button on the front of the engine that could be remove and replaced with a lanyard type switch. Check with you local dealer, he should have a switch you can use and direct you on how to hook it up.
