Pond had a light green tint to it. They didn't have much pigment when they came out the water. They looked like a mirror in the water. You could tell why they are nicknamed white perch. They have bars look by the tails. Very faint though and big ole mouths. I grew up catching whites in ponds and bayous around here. I was thrown off when I started fishing for them in rivers the past few years. I thought they looked different and didn't know why till i started frequenting this site. Hey I didn't know there was a difference and that they were named crappie. I am old school.....they are all white perch......lol.
