    The factory prop once saved me on the river south of butte la rose, heading to the camp at dark I spun the prop. I made it to a sand bar and changed it with a piece of driftwood and channel locks. Not one boat passed, even after I made it to the camp... That would have been a miserable night! Had one with me ever since. Thanks for the story paw paw

    Solas props is what I've bought over the years. Your present prop has the size and pitch stamped into it. If you like the way it performs get the same if not experiment with something different.

    For sure carrying backup is a good thing. I use to carry a extra battery in the event I needed it to crank my big motor.
