    Salt? Nice catchin. The river is cooler than the bayou. Water temp in the 80's already.

    Yea. Where we were isn't far off from prien and calcasieu. Guess the tide and drought was just right for the salt to back up to where we were. Definitely enough salt for black drum and too much for sacalait.

    Where I fish is 10+ miles up river from the locks. It does have tidal movement.
