That's not good at all. There will be others that will still carry it, because it's in demand. The Chevron station close to the house always has folks at their two ethanol free pumps. Have even seen a couple of stations around Toledo bend that have put up new signs saying ethanol free gas is available. Writing Mary Landrieu is a waste of time - I'll leave it there, don't want to get started on king's puppet.

I use it in my car too, well worth the mileage increase. I have seen that article floating around on LA sportsman site. A friend of mine sent me this info...

    Saw two articles yesterday:
    1. Refinery in Chalmette will no longer make pure gas, only E10. That means little to no ethanol free fuel in southeast part of the state. Our area gets ethanol free fuel from refineries in Opelousas and Lake Charles.
    2. Obama would like to bump the ethanol content up to 15%. Yamaha did a study running their motors on E15 gas. After 300 hours of nonstop running the two strokes were throwing rods and a 300hp four stroke burned 2 valves. The identical motors running beside them on pure gas had no problems.

When we write our "representatives" let's mention Obama's recent decree to do whatever is necessary to reduce global warming and point out that the same science declaring there is global warming has proven ethanol to be both environmentally and economically damaging and the mandate should be removed, not increased.

I absolutely get better enough gas mileage running ethanol free to more than justify paying a bit more at the pump.... I don't worry about running ethanol in the truck (because it's not in your gas tank long enough to get stale) but given a choice i do always pick the ethanol free.

I agree, and for me the station I use in Lafayette, is the same price as the Chevron across the street.
