    I caught a lot of red snapper as a young man but never saw one of these. In Ark. they fish with "rosey reds" ; it's a shiner this color.

    Not sure about a record but it sure did taste good! As much as I love to fish crappie I sure do get excited off of fishing offshore just because of the suprise of catching an unusual fish. It's kind of like bass fishing and accidentally catching a Crappie.
    Two things to remember about offshore fishing: Watch the teeth - Watch the hooks:D

    I love offshore fishing I just cant afford it any more, I can fish fresh water for three months for what it cost to go one time offshore.
