Went to JB Salters in Erwinville today to get 2 of my rods fixed....Mr. JB was there by himself and I want to report that he is quite well for being 85 years young.....I had broken about 6" off the ends (not fishing)......guess I am pretty rough on my rods.....cost me $5 each and a bargain at that.....also picked me up another graphite rod for $70.....he has dropped the price $10 on his remaining stock until they are sold out.....said he has sold 40,000 rods (in his lifetime).....he is expecting a new shipment of rods in maybe a month.....he had one prototype there of the new ones....he also hopes to have his website up in a month....naturally, he insisted to give me another lesson on how to use his rods even though I took his class at LSU.....and watch some of his fishing videos.....said his son has agreed to take over the business.....
Took me an hour and a half to get out his door....but I enjoy every trip I make to see the "Phd " of crappie fishing....

Where is Erwinville located PS??
Get a few people together and carpool. It's only a few hours away.
It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

Glad to hear that he is well and that his son is going to take over the shop one day. Have you met his son and does he have his Dad's passion for fishing.
