Charlie, you are so blessed to have a camp on Black Bayou. It is such a beautiful lake. I use to fish it when I live in Cotton Valley. It was so peaceful and beautiful with all of the cypress trees that most of the time I didn't care if the fish were biting or not. It is a good place to spend some time with God. Congratulations on catching a mess of fish.
Sounds like you had a good day Charliee. How is the salvania, I hope it got knocked back real hard.

Gene,the cold really did a number on the salvinia. There was very little around and it looked sick. Hopefully it will be a few years before it gets as bad as it was last year. The good thing is that the hydrilla seems to be gone also. I am hoping the grass carp keep that in check. I have not seen the lake looking this good in several years. Hopefully we can keep it this way awhile.
Pastor there are times I get in among the cypress trees in the shade with a nice gentle breeze blowing and lean back and take a nap. it is soothing to the body and the soul.Quote:
