Thread: Chicot 4-10-2013

Went to chicot with a friend yesterday morning. Started at the North launch area. Water is extremely clear and lots of grass. Didn't catch anthing for 1 1/2 hours. wind picked up. So I went to the area known as The Branch. That's where the long bridge crosses the lake. Water was a little muddier there, but still clear. Began catching right away. Had to leave at 11:00 for a scheduled appointment. We ended up with 7 fish. 4 white perch and 3 bream. Threw about 5 others back in. White perch were on the small side. Bream were big males. tightline black and chartreuse jig. Sorry , no pics. I've been hearing some good reports out of Chicot.

gonna try Cocodrie Lake near Turkey Creek tomorrow morning.
